I need to take a moment to share something that has
overwhelmed me with pride and emotion.
My brother, Taquarius Ford, just published a 4-book children's series that the world desperately needed.
The GWiz Series speaks directly to the 2.7 million children
in America living with an incarcerated parent. These kids have been largely
invisible in children's literature. Publishers haven't prioritized their
stories. But Taquarius saw them. He remembered them. And he wrote books to help
them navigate the pain, confusion, and hope that comes with having a parent
behind bars.
The series includes:
📖 GWiz and Dad's Road
Home
📖 GWiz and the Brave
Waiting
📖 GWiz and the Strength
of Family
📖 The Day Dad Came Home
Beautifully illustrated by Kenya K, these books aren't
just stories - they're healing. They're representation. They're proof that
creativity and compassion can change lives.
I couldn't be more proud of TQ. This accomplishment shows
who he really is - a man who uses his gifts to lift others up and give voice to
the voiceless.
To every child who will see themselves in these pages, to
every family navigating the pain of separation, to everyone who believes in the
power of storytelling - thank you for supporting this work.|
